MUDDIBROOKE have released the official video for “One Life” on 31 October 2026. The track is the first single from the Derby trio’s self-titled debut album, which is due in spring 2027 through Black Stripe Music. The video is directed and edited by Oliver Griffiths, with photography directed by Louis Brough.
The release follows our earlier report on the single, which covered the song’s 30 October release plan and its origins in a sleepless night of worries, hopes, fears and insecurities. The official video credits confirm the recording line-up: Brooke sings and plays guitar, Anna Melidone plays bass and backing vocals, and Morgan Pettigrew plays drums.
From 3am thoughts
Brooke wrote “One Life” after her thoughts went into overdrive while she was trying to sleep. The song begins with a simple beat and grows towards a stronger tribal feel, turning private anxiety into a broader reminder that people do not have time to live by everyone else’s rules.
Whenever I’m trying to fall asleep, that’s when my brain seems to go into overdrive. Worries, hopes, fears, insecurities and completely random thoughts all arrive at once. That’s exactly how One Life was born. The lyrics are essentially a collection of thoughts I had during one sleepless night, all mashed together.

Brooke leads the trio
Brooke is MUDDIBROOKE’s lead vocalist and guitarist, and she wrote “One Life”. The song places her voice and guitar at the centre of a line-up completed by bassist and backing vocalist Anna Melidone and drummer Morgan Pettigrew. The three musicians recorded the single with producer Luke Morley of Thunder.
Nick Brine recorded and mixed the track at Rockfield Studios, while Ed Woods mastered it. Morley also produced the forthcoming album, with Brine recording and mixing the full release. The video is now available on YouTube, giving the band’s first single its full official visual release.
