Goddess Metal Fest
Goddess Metal is more than a digital newsroom. Co-founded and co-organized by our chief editor, Victor Nord, Goddess Metal Fest is an international rock and metal festival in Burgas, Bulgaria, bringing together all-female and female-fronted bands on one stage with a single urgent mission: fighting domestic violence.
Reclaiming Voice and Strength
Rock and metal are the music of defiance, catharsis, and unshakeable resilience. When female artists take the center of the stage, they command the crowd with strength and uncompromising independence.
Domestic abuse systematically strips women of their voice, their safety, and their self-worth, turning lives into silent struggles behind closed doors. Goddess Metal Fest was born to turn that tide: to demonstrate that a woman was never meant to live in fear or silence, but as a sovereign force.
A Festival with Real Action
Held at the open-air Summer Theatre in Burgas with free admission for the public, the festival serves as a permanent bridge between heavy music and humanitarian action:
- Public Awareness: Breaking the stigma around domestic violence and declaring openly that abuse is a societal crisis, not a private matter.
- Direct Support: Partnering directly with Demetra Association, a dedicated non-profit organization operating crisis centers, emergency hotlines, and recovery shelters for domestic abuse survivors.
- Institutional Backing: Supported by the Municipality of Burgas, alongside Zonta Club of Bourgas and Radio Z-ROCK.
The Artists
The festival unites international touring acts, established Bulgarian and Balkan artists, and emerging young talent, including Alterium (Italy), Sevi, Tsena Koev, Bendida, Freya, The A.X.E. Project, Ani Lo. Projekt, and young prodigy Princess Vlad.
