HOLY WARS have released the official video for “I.F.O.Y.G.”, a song from their album “Shadow Work / Light Work”, which arrived through Pale Chord Music on 24 April. The alternative metal band will begin a 24-date North American tour on 14 November, with Kingdom Of Giants, Deadlands and Night Rider.

Bussey and Delacroix direct

The film was co-directed by Deven Bussey and Isabella Delacroix. Bussey also led production and edited the video, while Delacroix served as director of photography, set designer and co-editor. Garrett Gaston operated the camera and worked as gaffer, while Zhang Meng joined Bussey in the edit and Eudes Quittelier handled colour work.

The production includes VFX by Johann Ramos-Arteaga and tarot paintings by Paolo Iarussi. Witch House Topanga provided the props and location. Kat Leon, Nicolas Perez and Matt Cohen appear in the video.

The lyrics describe a break from manipulation and mistrust, moving from the repeated line “Cut the cords and let it break” to the closing sequence, “Out of reach / Out of touch / Out of trust / Out of love”.

Album released in April

Pale Chord Music released “Shadow Work / Light Work” on 24 April. “I.F.O.Y.G.” is available alongside the rest of the album through the band’s official streaming and purchase links.
