Lita Ford has released the video for her new single “Dracula”. The track is out now on Frontiers Records, the label she signed to earlier this month, and it is the first music from a new album.
The song is credited to Ford and to producer Gary Hoey, who also produced the record. The single was mixed by Max Norman, and Ford recorded it with Hoey and drummer Bobby Rock. It is published through Lisabella Music and Wazooville, both ASCAP-affiliated.
A first taste of the dark fairytale album
“Dracula” is the first single from the album Ford has described as a dark fairytale record, and the first release since she joined Frontiers. When we reported the signing and the single, Ford said the record had taken a long time to make and needed the right people around her.
It’s been a long journey to create this magical dark fairytale album for everyone to enjoy. I needed the perfect team to make that happen and to help give this powerful record a life it deserves.

Lita Ford, from the Runaways to the Warlock
Ford was born in London in 1958 and moved to the United States as a child, settling in the Los Angeles area. She joined the Runaways in 1975 at sixteen and played lead guitar on the band’s records until their break-up in 1979, then started a solo career that peaked at the end of the 1980s with the self-titled album “Lita” and the Ozzy Osbourne duet “Close My Eyes Forever”. She has released seven solo studio albums, most recently “Time Capsule” in 2016, and plays guitar and sings on “Dracula”.
Her touring band for the record includes guitarist Patrick Kennison, bassist Marty O’Brien and drummer Bobby Rock, who plays on the new single.
