Raquel Eugenio, from Celtian to the Mägo choir
Raquel Eugenio sings backing and additional vocals in Mägo de Oz and joined the band in 2025. She came from the Spanish band Celtian, where she also sang. On this tour she is part of the vocal line-up behind lead singer Rafa Blas, adding to the choral and folk side of a band built on violin, flute and Celtic melodies.
From Transilvania to the yellow brick road
Mägo de Oz formed in Madrid in the late 1980s around drummer Txus di Fellatio, taking their name from The Wizard of Oz and building a following on a folk metal sound led by violinist Mohamed, in the band since 1992. Their debut album appeared in 1994, and the group marked 30 years in 2018 with a concert backed by a symphony orchestra at the WiZink Center in Madrid. The current line-up also includes lead guitarist Jorge Salán, bassist Fernando Mainer, guitarist Víctor de Andrés, keyboard player Francesco Antonelli, guitarist Ix Valieri and lead vocalist Rafa Blas.
