Lita Ford has signed with Frontiers Music and announced a new single, “Dracula”. The news was made public on 21 October 2026, though the label has not yet given a release date for the track itself.

A Runaway Turned Solo Star

Ford, born in London on 19 September 1958, moved to the United States as a child and picked up the guitar at eleven after hearing Ritchie Blackmore’s work with Deep Purple. At sixteen, in 1975, Kim Fowley recruited her for the all-female rock band the Runaways, where her lead guitar became a central part of the group’s sound until they broke up in April 1979.

She launched her solo career with Mercury Records in 1982 and reached her commercial peak in the late 1980s. The 1989 single “Close My Eyes Forever”, a duet with Ozzy Osbourne, remains her biggest hit at No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, alongside songs such as “Kiss Me Deadly”, “Gotta Let Go” and “Shot Of Poison”.

What the Signing Means

Frontiers Music has not yet detailed an album or a premiere date for “Dracula”, leaving the single as the first taste of the partnership. Ford published her autobiography, Living Like a Runaway: A Memoir, in 2016, and the deal with the Italian label now sets up her first new music under it.
