Arch Enemy will cross North America this autumn, with Greek symphonic death metal band SepticFlesh and The Black Dahlia Murder in support. The tour runs from 28 October to 18 November and was made official this week. It puts three death metal acts of different shades on one bill, an evening built on double bass drums and, in SepticFlesh’s case, massive orchestrations.
A Three-Headed Bill
SepticFlesh, from Athens, join the trek as direct support and will also squeeze in a few headline dates of their own around the main run. For the Greek band, the tour fills the wait for a follow-up to “Modern Primitive”, their most recent album, which fans in Europe are still waiting to see supported by live dates of their own.
For Arch Enemy, the run is the first proper North American outing with a new voice at the front. The band released “Blood Dynasty” in 2025, their twelfth studio album and their latest for Century Media, and spent the following year reshaping the line-up.
Lauren Hart Steps In
Lauren Hart takes over lead vocals after a year of change. The American singer, born in 1986, was announced as the band’s new frontwoman on 19 February 2026, replacing Canadian vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, who left at the end of 2025 after more than a decade in the role.
Hart is best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Once Human, and she also sang for Divine Heresy from 2022 onwards. Her style mixes growling with clean singing, and she has appeared on stage and in the studio with Kamelot, including a guest spot on their 2018 album “The Shadow Theory”. Before White-Gluz, German singer Angela Gossow fronted Arch Enemy from 2000 to 2014 and later moved into the band’s management.
Thirty Years of Arch Enemy
Arch Enemy formed in Halmstad, Sweden in 1995, when guitarist Michael Amott, then of Carcass and Spiritual Beggars, started the band with vocalist Johan Liiva. The debut album “Black Earth” was recorded in nine days and released by Wrong Again Records in 1996, before the band signed to Century Media.
The current line-up pairs Hart with Amott and fellow guitarist Joey Concepcion, bassist Sharlee D’Angelo, who joined in 1999, and drummer Daniel Erlandsson, back in the band since 1998. Members’ past bands include Carcass, Mercyful Fate, The Agonist, Nevermore and Once Human.
The tour opens on 28 October and closes on 18 November.
