Kamelot is an American symphonic and power metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1987 by guitarist Thomas Youngblood and drummer Richard Warner. Renowned for fusing driving metal rhythms with theatrical European symphonic arrangements and progressive structures, the band is especially celebrated across heavy music for its hallmark tradition of collaborating with prominent female guest vocalists on studio albums and international tours. Landmark collaborations include soprano Mari Youngblood portraying Helena on the Faustian concept albums Epica (2003) and The Black Halo (2005), Simone Simons of Epica on the acclaimed duet 'The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)', and Amaranthe vocalist Elize Ryd's extensive half-decade touring role and studio appearances on Silverthorn (2012). Subsequent eras brought powerful guest features from Alissa White-Gluz on Haven (2015), Lauren Hart on The Shadow Theory (2018), Melissa Bonny on The Awakening (2023), and Chilean frontwoman Ignacia Fernández alongside Clémentine Delauney on Dark Asylum (2026).
The Decessus singer, guest on 'Ashen World' and 'Sanctuary' from 'Dark Asylum', will perform live with KAMELOT on 30 and 31 October at 013 Poppodium.
