Chilean vocalist Ignacia Fernández will travel to the Netherlands to perform with Kamelot during both nights of KAMFEST, the band’s own two-day event scheduled for 30 and 31 October 2026 at 013 Poppodium in Tilburg. The singer of the Chilean band Decessus confirmed the news herself in a video message addressed to her followers.
“Quería contarles que estaré acompañando a Kamelot en sus dos shows de KAMFEST en Tilburg. Así que vayan por sus entradas y nos vemos allá.”
- Ignacia Fernández, vocalist
From studio guest to the stage
Fernández’s live appearance is the latest step in a collaboration that has grown steadily through 2026. Her first contribution came on the song “Ashen World”, where she appeared as a guest and became part of the band’s new album. She then returned on “Sanctuary”, this time sharing vocals with Tommy Karevik and Clémentine Delauney of Visions of Atlantis. Both tracks are part of “Dark Asylum”, the new Kamelot album released on 28 August 2026.
What began as studio work will now reach the live stage. Her presence at KAMFEST will give audiences the first chance to hear these collaborations performed in person, after they had so far existed mainly on the recordings of “Dark Asylum”.
A recurring guest in the Kamelot orbit
The invitation adds to an especially active period for Fernández and Decessus, and it widens the international exposure of one of the most talked-about Chilean metal voices of recent months. Her participation is confirmed for both nights of the festival, 30 and 31 October.
KAMFEST itself is built around Kamelot and features performances by Xandria, Exit Eden, Temperance, Leaves’ Eyes, Blackbriar and Elegy across its two consecutive days in Tilburg. The event also serves as the starting point of the band’s European headline tour, which begins on Halloween weekend and continues through November with Exit Eden as very special guest and Temperance as support.
The voice behind the guests spots
Ignacia Fernández is the vocalist of the Chilean metal band Decessus. During 2026 she became a recurring guest within the Kamelot camp, first on the album track “Ashen World” and then on “Sanctuary”, where she sings alongside Tommy Karevik and Clémentine Delauney. Both songs appear on “Dark Asylum”, the band’s fourteenth studio album, released on 28 August 2026. The KAMFEST dates in Tilburg will be her first live performances with the American band.
Kamelot was formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987 by guitarist Thomas Youngblood, and Tommy Karevik has been the band’s lead vocalist since 2012. Tickets for the tour are available through the band’s website.
