Plague of Angels have released their live album “Live at Huddersfield Town Hall” together with a full concert video, now streaming on YouTube and all digital platforms. The recording captures the band performing with pipe organist David Pipe on 5 December 2025 at Huddersfield Town Hall in the UK.
The release is part of the band’s “Organic Metal: Two Worlds Collide” project, which pairs contemporary alternative metal with the acoustic power of a historic pipe organ. According to the band, the organ functions as an integral part of the musical architecture rather than a simple accompaniment, adding depth and physical presence to a set that also includes orchestration and piano.
“We’re incredibly excited to finally share Live at Huddersfield Town Hall. This was a truly special night for Plague of Angels, bringing together the raw power of metal with the extraordinary majesty of the venue’s historic pipe organ. The scale, atmosphere and emotion of this performance encapsulate everything we’ve been striving to achieve with our Organic Metal: Two Worlds Collide project. An enormous amount of passion and dedication has gone into capturing, mixing and producing this concert, and we couldn’t be prouder of the result. We can’t wait for audiences around the world to experience what was, for us, an unforgettable evening.”

Twelve tracks from intro to encore
The concert video runs through twelve chapters, from the intro through “A Great Awakening”, “Beyond Salvation”, “What Lies Beneath”, the instrumental “Swans”, “Lazarene”, the instrumental “Eclipse”, “Perfect Strangers”, the instrumental “Stigmata”, “We Are Alone” and “Black Requiem”, closing with a second performance of “A Great Awakening”. The project was funded by the Cultures of Film initiative within the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Huddersfield.
From a church performance to York Minster
The band first drew attention in 2024 with their debut single “What Lies Beneath” and became the first metal band to perform on BBC’s The One Show. A live performance inside a church with pipe organ accompaniment drew coverage from The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph. Follow-up singles “Beyond Salvation” and “Lazarene” followed, and the band later played a sold-out show at York Minster, which received coverage from BBC Look North, ITV News and BBC Radio stations. The “Organic Metal” concept grew out of a collaboration between guitarist Mark Mynett and Leeds Cathedral organist David Pipe, and that experiment led to the formation of Plague of Angels.
Emilie Nox and Caroline Campbell
Emilie Nox sings lead vocals for Plague of Angels and joined the line-up in 2025. She previously sang in the band Gravity. Caroline Campbell plays bass and piano in the group and joined in 2025 as well. She is a former member of Cradle of Filth. The rest of the line-up consists of guitarists Mark Mynett of Kill II This, Oz Wright of Pythia and Richard Shaw, formerly of Cradle of Filth, who is a writing member, plus drummer Jeff Singer, known from Kill II This, Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride.
