TORTUGA have released the video for “Ghost Of Grog” today, 1 November 2026. The pirate metal song is taken from the band’s album “In Gold We Trust” and follows the aftermath of a wild night at sea, as its narrator wakes with a pounding head and reaches for another drink.
Rum, regret and friendship
The lyrics move between rough seafaring imagery, friendship and repeated drinking chants, turning the morning-after headache into a comic story. Tina Gebhard wrote the music and lyrics, while Gernot Gebhard mixed and mastered the track.
