SYMPHRESS have released the official lyric video for “Analoghion”, the tenth track from their album “Serpentine”, on 30 October 2026. The Romanian symphonic progressive metal band describes the song as a reflection on people who have died, those who abandoned us and those we abandoned, and the people who have left our lives.

Mihai Brici, who plays guitar and sings in the band, wrote both the music and lyrics. The song is available through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Bandcamp, while Erva Productions made the lyric video. Cornel Olar mixed and mastered the track, and produced it with Brici, Paul Trif and Alex Titieni.

I wrote a song about the dead people who are still alive, about those who abandoned us and those we abandoned, about the people who left our lives, about all of them, those who are and those who are no longer.

  • Mihai Brici, guitarist and vocalist

The Romanian-language lyrics move through grief, self-reproach and the hope of accepting pain. Their repeated refrain looks back at what was lost, while the closing image describes everything the narrator once promised to become as trapped in a “soul coffin”.

Andrada Hofmeister sings since 2022

Andrada Hofmeister is one of SYMPHRESS’s vocalists and has been in the band since 2022. Alongside her work with SYMPHRESS, she has been part of Loutfire, Maesün, Aprentis, Mast and TopHat. The current official credits also list Sergiu Botezatu on vocals, Brici and Trif on guitars, Alex ‘AC’ Cosma on bass, and Titieni on drums and percussion. Alina Rus plays keyboards on the studio recording, while Valer Szabo plays keyboards live.

SYMPHRESS formed in Cluj-Napoca in 2015. The band released singles including “Strigăt”, “Iconoclastul”, “Cerc Imperfect”, “Copii Fără Vise”, “Lumea Fără Cer” and “Voi nu Simțiți la Fel?” before presenting “Analoghion” as the tenth song on “Serpentine”.

Brici also supplied a short line from the song that captures its imagined meeting beyond death: “One day I had a dream: we all smiled at each other in paradise.”
