Battle Beast are among eight new names added to the Z! Live 2027 line-up in Zamora, Spain, where the Finnish heavy metal band will play across the festival’s three days, 17, 18 and 19 June 2027.
The announcement places the Finns near the top of the new batch of confirmations, alongside the progressive metal of Symphony X, the melodic hard rock of Sweden’s Nestor, the thrash of Northern Ireland’s Gama Bomb, the Spanish acts Daeria and Vendetta FM, and the Z! PRO additions Lecks Inc. and Almost Dead.
Marina La Torraca’s first Zamora show
Marina La Torraca sings lead for Battle Beast, having been announced as the band’s new vocalist in December 2025, taking over from Noora Louhimo. She had already built a career across several projects, including Avantgard, Phantom Elite, Exit Eden, Synnoveriem, Highlight Kenosis and the Frontiers All Stars.
The festival points to her live reputation as the reason to catch the band in Zamora: her vocal power and her connection with both the band and the audience, it says, have been borne out by the band’s shows in Japan and Australia. The Spanish crowd will hear for itself what the Finns have unlocked with her in the line-up.
Eight names, and more to come
The additions strengthen a bill already headed by the reunion and farewell shows of Edguy, a Best Of set from Stratovarius, a special set from Primordial, plus Korpiklaani, The Night Flight Orchestra, Conception, Virgin Steele, Trollfest, Bloodhunter and K-ØS. That makes eighteen confirmations so far, with more large names still to be revealed.
Symphony X return to the festival after playing it in 2023, and arrive while preparing a new album that singer Russell Allen has placed in 2027. The organisers note that the band rarely plays Spain, and highlight guitarist Michael Romeo and Allen as the two figures to see up close.
Gama Bomb come with their own rules: no clean guitars, no synthesisers, no ballads, just fast thrash, classic high vocals and humour drawn from horror and science fiction. Nestor, meanwhile, are the Swedish group who formed from friends who had played together in a high school band thirty years earlier. Daeria return to Zamora after their 2024 acoustic shows, this time with their melodic metal in Spanish, including the song “Aquí estás” with Jorge Berceo of Zenobia. Vendetta FM will mark twenty years in 2027 with their mix of groove metal and hardcore.
Tickets and travel
Passes, camping and glamping, hotel options in Zamora and Salamanca, and shuttle buses between Salamanca and the festival site are available through the festival’s website. Fewer than 500 passes remain at the current price before it rises. The official travel agency, The Fest Route, handles fuller trips and personalised stays and can be reached at [email protected].
The festival thanks the Zamora city council and the provincial government of Zamora for their continued support, which it calls essential to holding Z! Live and to growing alongside the city and the province.
Battle Beast formed in Helsinki in 2008 and released their seventh studio album, “Steelbound”, in 2025.
