Berlin black metal band HÆRESIS are bringing their album “Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum” to Leipzig, with NIGHTMARER and CHAVER on the bill. The show is part of the band’s current run behind the record, and it puts three different corners of the extreme underground on one stage.

An Album of Uncompromising Vision

“Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum” is the album HÆRESIS are touring. The band describe it as an expression of existential turmoil, profound discontent and ferocious power, and as the foundation for what they call a cathartic act of deliverance. Their sound sets ethereal atmospheres against raw energy, and the record is presented as a statement of will rather than a departure from the black metal they have played since forming in Berlin in 2016.

Live, HÆRESIS are known for immersive shows built on the fusion of intense light and an unrelenting assault of sound. That combination is the reason the band’s concerts carry the reputation they do, and it is what the Leipzig date is sold on.

C.G. Has Fronted the Band Since 2019

C.G. is the vocalist of HÆRESIS and has held the position since 2019. She fronts a line-up completed by drummers and guitarists M.S., I.C. and D.R., with L.C. on bass. Her voice sits at the centre of the band’s mix of sludge, black metal, crust and post-black metal, the territory HÆRESIS have worked in across releases including the 2020 EP “To Drown…”, the 2021 split “Z3/12” and the 2025 full-length “Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum”. The band release through Vendetta Records.

NIGHTMARER Cross the Atlantic for the Bill

NIGHTMARER are an international extreme metal collective operating between the United States and Germany, active since 2013. Formed by members of War From A Harlots Mouth, Gigan and The Ocean, the band play dissonant, avant-garde death metal that puts atmosphere, rhythmic complexity and psychological weight ahead of traditional hooks. Their debut full-length “Cacophony of Terror”, released by Season of Mist in 2018, was received as a work of horror, setting atonal and dissonant structures against brief flashes of clarity.

CHAVER Return with “CRUZIFICTION”

Support comes from CHAVER, who formed in Leipzig in 2016 and have become a fixture between death metal and hardcore. The trio play crushing heaviness with raw urgency, and their records include the 2018 debut “Transference”, the 2020 album “A Cellar Door” and 2023’s “Of Gloom” on BDHW Records. In 2026 they returned with the EP “CRUZIFICTION”, a sudden, unannounced release of six tracks that strips the band back to a hardcore and death metal metamorphosis through hate and violence. CHAVER have shared stages with Sepultura, Dying Fetus and Lorna Shore.
