Blood of the Earth has released their new single “The Constellation” today, 22 October 2026. The Tampa, Florida project, formed in 2023, describes the track as a raw and powerful statement of what the band has prepared for listeners, and it is the fourth release the duo has put out this year.

Dense Riffs and Visceral Vocals

“The Constellation” is built on a heavy atmosphere, weighty riffs and a visceral vocal delivery that grabs attention from the first moments. The production balances the aggression inherent to metal with careful sonic detail, and the interplay between the two musicians is audible throughout, with each instrument holding a clear place in the arrangement.

The band’s roots point towards sludge and doom, with connections to Crowbar suggesting a direct influence on the band’s heaviness and attitude, while experience in Thy Will Be Done adds a technical, brutal foundation. Blood of the Earth draw on both to build a sound of their own.

A Busy 2026

The single arrives after a productive stretch for the duo. Earlier in 2026 they released the singles “Petrichor” and “Filth Pig” and the EP “Beneath a Sky That Breaks”, following the EP “…And the Pillars Shook” from 2024, their first listed release. No full-length album has been announced yet, but the steady output and the quality of “The Constellation” have raised expectations that one is on the way.

Expanding the Sound

Katie McCrimmon handles keyboards and percussion in Blood of the Earth, adding texture and rhythm to Jeff Golden’s guitars and bass. She came to the project with a substantial background in extreme metal, having played in Born Depraved, The Convalescence, Crimson Key and Master’s Ashes. Her percussion work and keyboard layers give the duo’s atmospheric sludge much of its density, and on “The Constellation” her contribution runs from the weight of the drums to the expressive detail in the quieter passages.

From Tampa to a Wider Audience

Blood of the Earth formed in 2023 in Tampa, Florida, and work as an instrumental outfit, with their lyrical themes listed simply as instrumental. The band’s music is available through their Bandcamp page, Spotify and YouTube, where “The Constellation” can now be heard alongside their earlier 2026 releases.
