Annicke Shireen will release her debut solo album “Delirium” on Friday, 13 November 2026. The independent artist, best known as the lead singer of the Dutch witch rock formation SHIREEN and as a performer with HEILUNG and PURE REASON REVOLUTION, began releasing music under her own name in 2021. Listeners do not have to wait for the release date: the album can already be heard on Bandcamp as of 23 October, and a video for the song “Loud Hag” is out.

Ten Tracks Between Metal and Synthpop

Across ten tracks, “Delirium” moves between alternative rock, metal, synthpop, folk and dreamy grunge, while keeping a core of heavy guitars, layered vocals and moody synths. Annicke works with acclaimed drummer Koen Herfst and uses subtle electronics throughout the record.

The album takes a musical and personal look at the limits of what counts as “normal”. The songs deal with anger, love, vulnerability, self-discovery and female self-determination. Shireen does not treat anger as a destructive force, but as a compass that can point to necessary change. The search for connection and belonging runs through the record as well, from the question of one’s own place to solidarity within a community.

The Title Explains the Moment

The title “Delirium” describes the uncomfortable moment when an existing life model no longer fits, and the possibility arises to rediscover oneself. It is a theme that fits an artist who has spent years performing in other projects before stepping forward under her own name.

From SHIREEN to a Solo Voice

Annicke Shireen sings and writes the material herself, and her solo work has built a signature sound of haunting vocals and heavy riffs since 2021. Her earlier releases include the singles “The SERPENT” and “THE CHARIOT” as well as the EP “DEMONETTE”, all marked by emotionally charged lyricism. Alongside her solo career she continues to perform with HEILUNG and PURE REASON REVOLUTION, and she remains the frontwoman of SHIREEN.

“Delirium” arrives on 13 November 2026 and is streaming on Bandcamp now.

The Erinyes

“"Agony & Ecstasy" - Official Visualizer”

A song about duality and loss, where agony and ecstasy intertwine as someone struggles to let go of a ghost-like presence and rise above the pain of being left behind.
