Heilung is an experimental neofolk and folk metal collective formed in 2014 by German vocalist and percussionist Maria Franz, German tattoo artist Kai Uwe Faust, and Danish musician and producer Christopher Juul. Reconstructing prehistoric Northern European and Viking rituals with deer bones, bronze shields, and ancient runes, the group creates mesmerizing auditory rituals marked by Franz's ethereal vocals and Faust's throat singing across monumental releases like Ofnir, Futha, and Drif.
The amplified history collective return with a third studio album, "Sagas", out 11 December on Season of MIST, with a new video for the six-minute track "Læknisgaldr".
