Häven have shared the video for “Dust”, a duet with British singer Chris Dando, ahead of the band’s debut album, “Where Angels Fear To Tread”. Pride & Joy Music will release the album on 13 November 2026. Dando is known for singing with Kingdom of Madness and Brotherhood Of The Wolf, and first met Häven vocalist Gabrielle de Val during a 2024 tour.
The melodic rock song deals with the point after chaos and uncertainty when clarity arrives and decisions have to be made. Guitarist Tommy Denander, who also produced the project, appears in the video alongside the six-member line-up. The album has already been previewed by songs including “The Light Brigade”, “The Scarlet Letter”, “Zirkus Rosarius” and “Dancing Rainbows”.
From touring band to Häven
De Val said Häven developed while she was preparing her next solo album, “Revolution”. Some of the songs she and Denander wrote with her live band moved beyond the AOR and melodic rock associated with her previous work, taking in symphonic rock, power metal and straight heavy metal. The new band gives those songs a separate home while also recognising the musicians who had been performing with her.
I’m genuinely moved, because Häven feels like the natural outcome of everything we’ve been building over the past year with Tommy Denander and my live band. It wasn’t planned or calculated, it simply formed on its own, shaped by the music and all the emotion we’ve shared together. “Dust” is a duet with British singer Chris Dando. We first met Chris in 2024, during the Kiss in a Dragon Night tour, when we were supporting Kingdom of Madness, with Chris as their lead singer.

Gabrielle de Val leads
Gabrielle de Val sings lead in Häven and remains the band’s central songwriter through the material developed with Denander and her live musicians. Her solo album “Revolution” was the starting point for the heavier songs that became Häven’s repertoire. She also wanted the musicians who had supported her on stage to receive recognition as part of a band project rather than appearing only as her backing group.
Denander plays guitar alongside Gustavo Martín, with José Luis Gallera on bass, Isabel Fernández on keyboards and Robert van der Laar on drums. De Val chose the name Häven, pronounced “Heaven”, with the umlaut pointing to the English, German and Swedish elements of the band’s writing team. Artist Sebastian Kozak, whose work includes designs for Ten and Crown of Thorns, created the album cover and logo.
This grew together naturally through all the amazing and creative work we’ve done. I’m very happy to be involved here.
