EVERDAWN have released the official music video for “Illusionist”, the latest preview of their upcoming album “Kali”. The 12-track record is due through Frontiers Music srl on 15 January 2027, and is available to pre-order now. “Illusionist” is the album’s third song, following the opening tracks “Cosmic Dancer” and “Heat Death” in the running order.
The song presents a narrator confronting deception, fictional fame and the collapse of a carefully maintained disguise. Its lyrics repeatedly return to the image of a performance nearing its end, with the line “No more disguise” setting the central tone. The video was released on 4 November, alongside the album announcement.
Twelve songs on “Kali”
EVERDAWN will sequence “Kali” with “Jupiter Rising”, “Love Is Gone”, the title track, “Age Of Aquarius”, “Piscean Heart”, “Andromeda”, “White Lie”, “Scorpio Moon” and “The Pleiades” after “Illusionist”. The full record follows the band’s 2023 album “Venera” and their 2024 single “Another Lifetime”.
Alina Gavrilenko since 2019
Alina Gavrilenko sings lead vocals on “Illusionist” and has been part of Everdawn since the band formed in New Jersey in 2019. Her other projects include Случайные Связи, Haven Dream and Snowmaiden. She appears in the current line-up with guitarist and backing vocalist Richard Fischer, keyboardist Boris Zaks, drummer Dan Prestup and bassist Mike LePond of Symphony X.
The album’s title refers to “Kali”, while its track names draw on cosmic and astrological imagery, including “Jupiter Rising”, “Age Of Aquarius”, “Scorpio Moon” and “The Pleiades”. “Kali” will be released in full on 15 January 2027 via Frontiers Music srl.
