Okkultist will tour the United Kingdom in November 2026 on a six-date run called “The Britannia Obscura UK Tour”. The Portuguese blackened death metal band open at Cart & Horses in Stratford, London, on 9 November and close at The Gryphon in Bristol on 14 November, with four dates in between.

A gap on 10 November

The second night, 10 November, has no town and no venue yet. Further details are expected to clarify that stop. The run then reaches The Winchester Gate in Salisbury on 11 November, Chaplin’s & The Cellar Bar in Bournemouth on 12 November and The Tunnels in Frome on 13 November.

H I G H open in London, Sidewalk Mafia and Morbus Fatalis close

The London date brings British band H I G H, whose doom, sludge, stoner and psychedelic influences run to extended compositions that set heavy riffs against slower atmospheric passages. The Salisbury, Bournemouth and Frome shows are advertised with Finnish band Sidewalk Mafia and Brazilian act Morbus Fatalis, adding blackened gothic doom and funeral goth to the bill. Both support acts also play the Bristol finale, where all three bands share the night.

Beatriz Mariano growls at the front

Beatriz Mariano is the vocalist of Okkultist and one of the band’s two founders, having started it with guitarist Leander Sandmeier. She fronts the group as its growler, the harsh voice over the band’s aggressive guitar work and forceful rhythms. She has sung on all of the band’s releases, from the 2017 EP “Eye of the Beholder” through the albums “Reinventing Evil” and “O.M.E.N.”. The November tour puts her and the band in front of UK audiences across southern England for six consecutive nights.

Two albums of occult extreme metal

Okkultist formed in Portugal in 2015 and play blackened death metal built on occult themes and dark visual imagery. Their debut album “Reinventing Evil” arrived in 2019, followed by “O.M.E.N. (Omnis Malum Et Noceo)” in 2023, both on Alma Mater Records, the label run by Fernando Ribeiro of Moonspell. The UK run is a substantial stretch of British shows for the band, taking them beyond London and Bristol and pairing them with local and international acts from the underground.

“Oculum”

A song about feeling detached from your own life, caught in shadow and struggling to breathe, as if watching existence from outside yourself.
