Dawn of Destiny have announced their tenth studio album, “Ashes Over Tomorrow”. The record will be released on 30 October 2026 through El Puerto Records, the label that also put out the band’s previous album “IX”.
The Bochum band are already giving listeners a taste of the new material. The single and official video “Chasing Dreams” features Fabio Lione of Rhapsody of Fire on guest vocals. Vocalist Ralf Scheepers also appears as a guest on the album.
A decade of albums from Bochum
Dawn of Destiny were founded in Bochum at the end of 2005 by bassist Jens Faber. The band mix power metal with symphonic, gothic, thrash and death metal touches. Their debut “…Begins” came out in 2007 on Shark Records, followed by albums such as “Human Fragility” (2009), “Praying to the World” (2012), “F.E.A.R.” (2014), “To Hell” (2015), the concept album “The Beast Inside” (2019), “Of Silence” (2022) and “IX” in November 2024. “Ashes Over Tomorrow” is their tenth full-length and their first since “IX”.
The current line-up, confirmed in the credits of the “Chasing Dreams” video, consists of Jeanette Scherff on lead and backing vocals, Jens Faber on lead and backing vocals and piano, Veith Offenbächer on lead, rhythm and clean guitars, Dirk Raczkiewicz on keyboards and synths, Micha Marquardt on bass and Philipp Bock on drums.
Jeanette Scherff, the voice since 2010
Jeanette Scherff has been the lead singer of Dawn of Destiny since 2010, when she joined after the departure of founding vocalist Tanja Maul. She shares vocal duties in the band with Jens Faber, who also plays piano on the new record. Outside Dawn of Destiny, she has sung with the projects Impact and Temple of Your Soul.
“Chasing Dreams” is out now digitally, and “Ashes Over Tomorrow” follows on 30 October 2026 via El Puerto Records.
