Norwegian cinematic folk-rock group Kalandra have confirmed a run of live performances across France scheduled for March 2027. The tour brings the Oslo quartet together with folk and electronic artist Finnegan Tui, pairing two distinctive atmospheric projects on the same bill.
The centerpiece of the French dates takes place in Paris on Friday, 26 March 2027, at the historic La Machine du Moulin Rouge. Presented by Garmonbozia in partnership with Cobra Agency, the evening offers French audiences an extensive showcase of both acts’ newest material.
Katrine Stenbekk and the cinematic North
At the heart of Kalandra’s ethereal identity is frontwoman and lead vocalist Katrine Stenbekk. Her vocal approach weaves Scandinavian folk ornamentation, haunting melodies, and delicate vulnerability into dynamic, swelling alt-rock crescendos.
Stenbekk’s commanding presence shapes the band’s sonic landscapes alongside guitarists Florian Bernardo Winter and Jogeir Daae Mæland, and drummer Oskar Johnsen Rydh. Together, the group crafts melancholic tapestries inspired by Nordic mythology and raw human introspection.
From The Line to French stages with Finnegan Tui
Formed in 2013, Kalandra first captured international attention with their viral reimagining of Wardruna’s “Helvegen”, earning millions of listens worldwide. They cemented their sound on their 2020 debut full-length “The Line”, before composing the acclaimed soundtrack for the raw survival game “Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands” in 2022 and releasing their sophomore record “A Frame of Mind” in 2024.
Joining them on the French dates is New Zealand-born, UK-based multi-instrumentalist Finnegan Tui, known for blending intricate acoustic picking, electronic production, and introspective songwriting. The tour provides French listeners with a rare chance to experience both artists sharing the live stage in an intimate setting.
