The Astral Prophets have released a lyric video for the song “Power of the Rift”. The video went up on the band’s official YouTube channel on 15 October 2026 and presents the full lyrics of the track on screen.
The song leans into the science fiction imagery the Calgary band has built its catalogue around. Lines such as “We’re racing faster than the speed of light” and “Light years away / What will this be when they collide?” sit at the centre of the track, alongside the refrain “Cuz that’s the Power of the Rift”.
Staci Allen behind the Mic
Vocals in The Astral Prophets are handled by Staci Allen, who joined the band in 2021. She shares vocal duties with bassist Terry Savage and guitarist AJ Bergin, while the line-up is completed by Kyle Summers on drums and Harley D’orazio on guitars.
The band was formed in Calgary, Alberta in 2019. Its releases so far include the singles “Firewall”, “USB Humanity” and “Lazerwitch” from 2021, the EP “Anywhere but Here” from 2023, and the full-length “Invasion” and the single “Into Nothing”, both released in 2026. “Power of the Rift” is the band’s newest video since then.
