Woodscream have released a new single titled “Буран”. The track appeared on the band’s official YouTube channel on 16 October 2026, distributed through TuneCore.
The credits for the song list Alexander Klimov as guitarist, composer, lyricist, songwriter and producer. The release carries a 2026 Woodscream copyright.
A voice from Saint Petersburg
The band’s singer is Valentina Tsyganova, who has handled vocals, flute, whistles and percussion in Woodscream since the band’s formation in 2008. The line-up also includes Aliya Leta on flute and whistle, Vitold Buznaev on bass and synthesizers, and Alexander Klimov on guitars and vocals.
Follow-up to a busy 2024
Woodscream were formed in Saint Petersburg in 2008 and play folk metal with lyrics built on fairytales. Their most recent releases before “Буран” were the singles “Зной” and “Возвращение” and the album “Чёрные птицы”, all from 2024, following the 2020 album “Варево” and the singles “Круговерть” and “Василиса”.
