THEATRES DES VAMPIRES have announced a tour via Facebook. The Rome-based gothic metal band shared the news on 6 November 2026, but the announcement does not yet give the tour dates, cities, venues or ticket details. The group formed in 1994 and remains active.
From black metal to gothic
Theatres des Vampires began with melodic and symphonic black metal influences before moving away from black metal by the mid-2000s. The Italian band built its identity around vampire imagery, theatrical performances and lyrics focused on vampirism. Its early full-length releases included “Vampyrìsme, Nècrophilie, Nècrosadisme, Nècrophagie” in 1996 and “Bloody Lunatic Asylum” in 2001. The group also toured Europe with Christian Death in 2003 and appeared at festivals including Wave-Gotik-Treffen and Female Voices Festival.
The band’s latest album, “In Nomine Sanguinis”, was released by Scarlet Records on 19 November 2021. Its other albums include “The Vampire Chronicles”, “Nightbreed of Macabria”, “Pleasure and Pain”, “Anima Noir”, “Moonlight Waltz” and “Candyland”. Theatres des Vampires have released eleven full-length albums in total.
Sonya Scarlet leads since 2004
Sonya Scarlet is the band’s lead vocalist and has held that role since 2004, after previously joining its live and recorded work as a backing vocalist in 1999. She also has her solo project, Devihated. The current line-up includes bassist Zimon Lijoi, drummer Gabriel Valerio, guitarist Flavio Gianello and Fabian Varesi alongside Scarlet.
