MAKE THEM SUFFER have teamed up with WE CAME AS ROMANS on “DEAD SILENT”, a new collaboration due on 6 November 2026. The track will appear on WE CAME AS ROMANS’ companion album, “ALL IS BEAUTIFUL… BECAUSE WE’RE DOOMED: CIRCULARITY”, which is also due on that date.

The song follows the announcement of the guest-filled record, which combines reworked songs with four new tracks. Alongside “DEAD SILENT”, the new material includes “WHEN EVERYTHING IS STILL”, “BORN FROM NOTHING” and “SPEAK TO EXIST”. Members of Dayseeker, After The Burial, Currents, Bury Tomorrow and Ladrones also appear across the album.

A song about rebuilding

Dave Stephens, vocalist of WE CAME AS ROMANS, said the two bands had wanted to work together for some time. He described the track as dark and heavy, while also aiming for a song that makes people move. Its lyrics focus on leaving destructive patterns behind, finding the strength to rebuild and letting go of negativity.

We’ve wanted to collaborate with our friends in Make Them Suffer for a long time, and ‘Dead Silent’ finally gave us the chance to get in the studio and make it happen. We’re huge fans of theirs and everything they bring to heavy music, so getting to put our heads together on this one was a great experience. The song is about breaking out of the same destructive patterns and finding the strength to rebuild and let go of the negativity holding you back. It’s dark and heavy, but there’s a real sense of fun to it too. We had a great time making something together that hits and makes you want to move.

Alex Reade’s keyboard work

Alex Reade plays keyboards and provides backing vocals in MAKE THEM SUFFER. She joined the Perth, Western Australia band in 2022 and has also been part of Drown This City and Fæble. Her role adds keyboard textures and additional vocals to the current line-up, alongside guitarist Nick McLernon, vocalist Sean Harmanis, bassist Jaya Jeffery and drummer Jordan Mather.

MAKE THEM SUFFER formed in 2008 and built their sound through symphonic deathcore and metalcore. Their latest full-length release was the self-titled “Make Them Suffer” in 2024, followed by the 2025 collaboration “SOS” and its remix edition. “DEAD SILENT” will place the Australian band on WE CAME AS ROMANS’ new collection of reworked songs and original material.
