UTÓPICA has released the official lyric video for “Conjuro de las Nereidas” on 1 November 2026. The Argentine symphonic metal band’s new single is the fourth release from its forthcoming micro-album, completing the material planned for its second album. The project follows a concept built around ancient rituals and dark curses, with the band pointing to a hidden force that can counter the darkness.
Four songs complete the concept
The song was written by vocalist Karina Conicelli, while UTÓPICA composed the music as a group. Bassist Walter Pallares, keyboardist Pablo Pallares and guitarist Gustavo “Dante” Arroyo join Conicelli in the current line-up. Pallares also directed the lyric video, and Beluna created the cover artwork.
The micro-album is due to arrive soon, although the band has not given a release date. “Conjuro de las Nereidas” and the band’s earlier releases are available through streaming and digital platforms including Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud, Tidal, Amazon and Apple Music.
Karina Conicelli has sung since 2013
Karina Conicelli has been the vocalist of UTÓPICA since the band’s formation in 2013. She wrote the lyrics for “Conjuro de las Nereidas” and is also part of the band’s songwriting line-up. The group formed in San Miguel, Buenos Aires, and its earlier releases included the EPs “ContraRitual” and “Anatema”, along with the 2021 single “Nocturna”.
UTÓPICA continues to operate from Argentina with Conicelli, Walter Pallares, Pablo Pallares and Gustavo Arroyo in its current line-up.
