CIRCUS 66 have released “Get Outside Your Head”, a dark, heavy and ultimately uplifting single from the UK hard-rock band. The track arrived on streaming services on 30 October alongside a new music video. It focuses on breaking free from mental chaos, accepting who you are and finding a way to feel comfortable with yourself.
Bigger riffs, darker mood
“Get Outside Your Head” takes CIRCUS 66 further into groove-driven territory while retaining the melodic writing and large choruses associated with the band. Its sound is moody, emotionally charged and slightly sultry, with the band pointing listeners towards the territory of The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm.
The quartet produced the single themselves. Chris Coulter mixed and mastered it at Decimal Studios. The release follows support for CIRCUS 66 from Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio and BBC Introducing.
Annabelle Zaychenko leads
Annabelle Zaychenko sings in CIRCUS 66, alongside Matt Pearce on guitars, Luke Ward on bass and Leigh Holley on drums. The band’s announcement has also highlighted Zaychenko’s vocal work, with Where The Music Does The Talking describing her as one of the best rock vocalists the country has produced in decades. She is part of the line-up featured on the new single and video.
The band are based in Maidenhead, UK, and are currently accepting booking enquiries. Their live work has drawn praise from promoters for a professional approach and full-force performances, while reviews of their music have pointed to big choruses, large riffs and strong hooks.
