The band has not announced a physical edition of the single, and the release is digital only.
Aria Becker on bass
Aria Becker plays bass in Freeze the Fall and is the band’s current female member. She has been part of the Canadian group through its recent EPs, including “The Red Garden”, which came out on 18 June 2025, and the earlier “Thrones”. The band’s line-up also includes guitarist Quinn Mitzel and Jonah Goncalves. Freeze the Fall have worked with 604 Records on distribution since April 2025 and are linked with Kelowna, British Columbia.
Lyrics about loss and memory
The lyrics of “The Burial” deal with grief and the passing of time, opening with the lines “What if we’re just ashes / Why do we think we’re free” and returning to the refrain “Bury you again / Memories slip through my hands”. A later verse sets young love against mortality: “Young love, vivid and endless / But I blink, and we’re in caskets”. The single follows the band’s second EP “The Red Garden”, released in June 2025, and their first EP “Thrones”. Freeze the Fall have also made videos for “Hypothermia”, “VHS”, “Aurora” and “Oubliette”.
The album “Crescents and the Torch” is expected in March 2027, with no further release details confirmed yet.
