Ampest have released a lyric video for their single “Kaasa”. The Estonian symphonic metal band shared the video on 26 October 2026, with the song available to stream on Spotify.
A young woman on her perch
The band describes “Kaasa” as an homage to the dance anthem “we all loved and still love”. The song tells the story of a young woman sitting on her perch, waiting for her sweetheart. The wind fills the sails and the sun glitters in her golden hair, but her heart trembles: does she dare go along? The call to see the world, carried by the wind, rings through the whole song, which the band calls tender and warm as a summer behind the homestead gate.
This song is for everyone who has ever sat on the perch and been afraid to leap. Sometimes all it takes is a hand that holds yours, and a wind that carries you forward.

Two vocalists, one folk-tinged sound
Aile Alveus and Hedwig Allika share vocal duties in Ampest. Both sing in the Tallinn symphonic and folk metal band, which formed in 2026. Alveus and Allika also play together in the Estonian groups Antsud Metal Project and Antsud, and Allika has performed with Vennaskond. “Kaasa” follows the band’s earlier 2026 single “Vabadusse”.
The rest of the line-up is Andri Laidre on bass, Egert Käesel on drums, and Joosep Kirss and Emmanouil Tselepis on guitars.
