Castle have released the official music video for “Evil Nun”, a track from their latest album “Carrie Chains”, which came out through Hammerheart Records on 4 September 2026. The video premiered on 21 October 2026, almost seven weeks after the album’s release.
Filmed in Brooklyn
The video was directed by Brian J Davis and produced by Heroic Collective, Black Arts Studios and Hammerheart Records. It was filmed in Brooklyn, New York, with a cast of Enzo Celluci, Becca Berlind, Anna Rahn and Rose Luardo. Liz Blackwell’s wardrobe for the clip was custom made by Chain Driven Apparel.
The song itself was recorded by Jesse Gander at RainCity Recorders in Vancouver, British Columbia, the same sessions that produced the rest of “Carrie Chains”. The album is available worldwide through Hammerheart and directly from the band via Bandcamp.
Liz Blackwell on bass and vocals
Blackwell handles bass and vocals in Castle, sharing vocal duties with guitarist Mat Davis. She has been part of the band’s core since its early days, and her voice and bass work anchor the group’s heavy doom sound. Drummer Mike Cotton completes the trio.
Two albums in two years
Castle come from San Francisco and play a mix of doom and heavy metal that Hammerheart describes as a US and Canadian affair. “Carrie Chains” is their second album for the label, following “Evil Remains”, which was released on 6 September 2024.
The road to the new record started in May 2026, when the band announced the album alongside a first single and video. A second single, “Truckgrinder”, followed in June. “Evil Nun” is the latest track from the album to receive the video treatment, keeping the momentum going well after the September release date.
