Magistina Saga will release their new album “Waltz of Hollowever” on 13 January 2027 through Starwave Records, sold by FWD Inc. The Osaka symphonic gothic metal band announced the record on 20 October 2026 together with an official music video for the track “Waltz of Alice” and a three-date pre-release tour across Japan.
Seven Tracks, 300 Copies
“Waltz of Hollowever” appears on CD limited to 300 copies under the catalogue number SWMS-013, priced at 2,750 yen including tax. The album holds seven tracks: “Waltz of Hollowever (S.E)”, “Waltz of Alice”, “Sweet Nightmare”, “Rising Blaze”, “Oblivion”, “Broken Doll” and “Remain”.
The band described the record in a statement: “A dream without end, told by a broken clock. What waits beyond it, hope or despair? Led by ‘Waltz of Alice’, it is a seven-track fantasy tale woven from beauty and madness, light and darkness.”

Three Cities Before Release Day
The pre-release tour “Waltz of Hollowever” starts on 21 November 2026 at Umeda LIVESPACE ODYSSEY in Osaka with a one-man show. On 28 November 2026 the band plays a sponsored event at @-hill in Nagoya, and the tour closes on 12 December 2026 with a one-man performance at Kichijoji CRESCENDO in Tokyo that will also be live streamed. The new album will be sold early at all three venues from November 2026.
Iori’s Voice Since 2010
Iori has fronted Magistina Saga on vocals since the band formed in 2010 and is the only woman in the line-up. Outside the band she has been involved in the project ギルド. She sings alongside the long-serving guitarist Urugi, with Mira on drums since 2017 and Mirei on bass since 2019.
Follow-Up to BloodMossAgate
Magistina Saga formed in Osaka in 2010 and have worked with Starwave Records throughout their career. Their first listed release dates from 2011, and their catalogue now counts 27 entries, including the EP “Abyss Grey Heron” (2022), the full-length “Athanasia” (2021) and the singles “Shadow Soare” and “Unlunatic” (both 2023). Their most recent album, “BloodMossAgate”, came out in January 2025.
