Huillac, the melodic death metal trio from Concepción in Chile’s Bio Bio region, have released their debut album “Sonrisa de Oro”. The record came out on 20 October 2026 and is available in digital format.

Chilean Devil in the Title

The album draws on Chilean myths, legends and dark stories. The title “Sonrisa de Oro” references the Diablo Chileno, the Chilean Devil of national mythology, giving the record a foundation in the country’s own folklore rather than imported themes.

Klaudia’s Voice Leads the Trio

Klaudia handles the vocals in Huillac and is the woman in the line-up. She fronts bassist Nicolás Pérez and guitarist Pancho Agurto, both of whom have played in the band since its formation. Her voice carries the album’s mythological material, which the band presents in the melodic death and groove metal style they have developed since 2022.

Two Singles Before the Album

Huillac formed in 2022 in Concepción. Their first release was the single “Cruces de piedra” in 2024, followed by “Sanguisuga” in 2025. Earlier in 2026 the band put out a self-titled EP, and “Sonrisa de Oro” now stands as their first full-length album.

The band’s music is available through their Spotify and YouTube channels.
