IGNEA have announced the video for “Harmony Manufactured”, a new single featuring guest vocals from Hiraes singer Britta Görtz, which premieres on 21 October 2026. The track appears on the Ukrainian band’s fourth album “Monumental”, due on 23 October 2026 through Napalm Records, and pairs Görtz’s extreme vocals with those of frontwoman Helle Bohdanova.
A Tribute to the Bauhaus
The song is built on the imagery of industrial design and modernist architecture that runs through the album. Bohdanova describes it as a tribute to the Bauhaus school and the birth of technical aesthetics.
The Bauhaus believed in the unity of art, craft, and technology, and that well-made things shouldn’t be a privilege but part of everyday life.
- Helle Bohdanova, vocalist
In the video, the concept shifts from objects to people. “In the video, though, it is the human body that is treated as the peak of design. After all, it is humans who carry the most beauty and enduring memory,” Bohdanova says. She adds that Görtz’s voice is “the technical aesthetics of extreme vocals” and hopes the two bands can perform the song live together someday.
Görtz says the collaboration grew out of mutual respect between the two singers, and that Bohdanova travelling from Ukraine to her hometown Hannover for the shoot made the experience especially meaningful. The video was directed and edited by Lame Perfect, with Polina Yefymenko producing.
Recorded Through a Kyiv Winter
“Monumental” is the second IGNEA full-length written during Russia’s full-scale war on Ukraine. Much of the recording took place in Kyiv in the winter of 2025-2026, amid freezing temperatures and long power outages. Grammy Award-nominated producer Jacob Hansen, known for his work with Delain, Amaranthe and Arch Enemy, handled mixing and mastering. Across nine tracks the album explores personal and collective memory, modernist buildings and futures that never arrived. Görtz and Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist, who appears on “Prefab”, are the two guests.
Helle Bohdanova, the Voice of IGNEA
Helle Bohdanova has fronted the Kyiv band since its formation in 2013, when it played under the name Parallax. She writes the band’s lyrics and moves between rich clean singing and harsh growls, a contrast that has defined their concept records “The Sign of Faith” (2017), “The Realms of Fire and Death” (2020) and “Dreams of Lands Unseen” (2023).
