A new visual release
BROKEN BY THE SCREAM have released the official video for their track “Parallel Universe”. The video premiered today, 21 October 2026, via their label, Metal Blade Records. Directed by umihayato, the production features camera work from a team including Kyohey Tsuchiya, Hisaki Ebishikawa, AJUKA, Kota Hirano and Seijiro Nishimi.
The vocalists of the group
The current line-up of BROKEN BY THE SCREAM features vocalists Io, Tsubaki, Shizuku Mikogami and Yayoi Takayashiki. Yayoi joined the group following an audition process in 2023, stepping in alongside Shizuku to replace departing members. These four performers define the group’s signature sound, which merges the high-energy performance style of Japanese idol culture with heavy, extreme metal instrumentation.
From Tokyo to the world
Formed in Tokyo in 2016, BROKEN BY THE SCREAM debuted in early 2017. The group gained early international attention through their contribution to the video game Onee Chanbara Origin. Over the last decade, they have expanded their reach through consistent touring across North America and Europe, including appearances at major events like Wacken Open Air in 2026. After releasing several albums, including “An Alien’s Portrait” and “Rise Into Chaos”, the band signed with Metal Blade Records in February 2026 to support their ongoing international activities.
