Danish death doom band Konvent will release their third studio album, “Firesky”, on 6 November 2026 through Napalm Records. Alongside the announcement, the Copenhagen group has published a video for the album’s title track, which features a guest appearance from Meejah. The song is the second single to be released from the record.

“Firesky” follows the band’s two previous albums on Napalm Records: “Puritan Masochism”, which came out in January 2020, and “Call Down the Sun”, described as blackened death doom, which followed in March 2022. A press sheet for the new album calls the group a four-piece of four women, now also experimenting with black metal.

Rikke Emilie List on vocals

The singer of Konvent is Rikke Emilie List, who has fronted the band since it was formed in Copenhagen in 2015. She is backed by three further members, and the quartet’s growled vocals and slow, heavy death doom have been the band’s signature across a 2017 demo and both previous albums.
