Fervence have presented a new video for “Oculum”, a track from their current full-length “Constructs”, released on Metal Blade Records. The clip was directed by Tom Flynn, and the announcement came through the label on 20 October 2026.
From Reno solo project to Austin quintet
The band started in 2019 in Reno, Nevada as the solo project of guitarist Trent Odneal and released the debut album “Ghost” in 2020. After reemerging in 2023, the group, now based in Austin, Texas, spent 2025 writing the eleven songs of “Constructs”, their Metal Blade debut. The album was produced by Odneal and guitarist Austin Bentley, mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren, and is available on CD, digital and several vinyl variants. Earlier videos for the songs “Zenith” and “Ascension” preceded this one.
Odneal commented on the new track:
This song draws a lot of inspiration from the grittiness in Deftones’ self-titled album. I really tried to make it feel dark, abrasive, human if you will, while maintaining a cinematic undertone, without overdoing it.
- Trent Odneal, founding guitarist
Stevie B. at the helm
Vocalist Stevie B. took over the microphone in 2023 and brought her own brand of aggression to the project. Her singing moves between full guttural screams and ethereal melodies across “Constructs”. She also fronted the band on the 2023 EP “Realm//One”, which collected four singles and earned praise for its unconventional take on metal.
