Kaelis have released the official video for “Atalaya”, the fifth single taken from their album “Stellar Waves”. The band announced the video on their YouTube channel, where it is now available for streaming.
“Atalaya” continues the science fiction storyline that runs through “Stellar Waves”. The lyrics describe a race born “from the guts of Endiron” and speak of a home world, ancestral embers and a cosmic trail of stars. The band’s earlier singles from the album, “Rising Empire”, “Dark Shadows of Ulderion”, “Omen” and “Strength of Sianark”, all received official music videos as well, and the band links to all of them alongside the new release.
Behind the camera
The video was directed and edited by BN Design and produced by BN Design together with Kaelis. Tristan Ballard and Bethany Neumann handled the camera work, lighting was done by Manuel Barragán and Bethany Neumann, and Ballard, Memphis Jiménez and Barragán worked as production assistants. Neumann also took care of makeup and hair.
The song itself was recorded, edited, produced, mixed and mastered by Manuel Barragán at El Laboratorio, with Bethany Neumann as co-producer of the vocals. All lyrics and music were composed, arranged and performed by Kaelis and Manuel Barragán.
Bethany Neumann behind the microphone
Bethany Neumann is the vocalist of Kaelis and one of the driving forces behind the band’s studio work. On “Atalaya” she co-produced the vocals in addition to singing, and she was heavily involved in the video production, working on camera, lighting, makeup and hair.
