Judicator have signed with Nameless Grave Records. The American power metal band announced the deal on 15 October 2026, together with plans for two new releases: an EP of previously unreleased songs due in early 2027, followed later in the year by the band’s eighth studio album.
A return after six years
The announcement coincides with a change in the band’s line-up. Co-founder Alicia Cordisco returned to Judicator in 2026 after six years away. She had left the band in 2020, having played guitars and bass and provided backing vocals since the group’s formation in 2012. Her return was first reported in June 2026, the same month the band announced the departure of bassist John Dolan.
From a duo to a six-piece
Judicator was formed in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2012, after vocalist John Yelland met Cordisco at a Blind Guardian concert two years earlier. The project began as a two-person band and grew into a full line-up after the first albums. The current line-up also includes guitarists Chad Anderson and Dayton Anderson, drummer Mike Lofgreen and keyboardist Francisco Pérez.
The band has released seven studio albums so far, from the 2012 debut “King of Rome” through “Sleepy Plessow”, “At the Expense of Humanity”, “The Last Emperor”, “Let There Be Nothing”, “The Majesty of Decay” and, most recently, “Concord” in 2025. Their lyrics centre on history, faith and existentialism. In 2026 the band also released the EP “The Elector”.
Cordisco back on guitar
Alicia Cordisco co-founded Judicator in 2012 and has moved between several roles in the band: bass and drum programming in the early years, guitars from 2012 to 2020, and backing vocals from 2013 to 2020. Outside Judicator she has played in Apophenia, Atresia, Grimaced, Justicar, Project: Roenwolfe, Sedulity, The Recreant and Vermiform. She rejoined the band on guitars in 2026.
The EP of unreleased material is expected in early 2027, with the eighth studio album to follow during the same year on Nameless Grave Records.
