Devihated, the new industrial and alternative horror metal project founded by Sonya Scarlet, singer and frontwoman of Theatres Des Vampires, has been announced. Scarlet created the band together with composer and multi-instrumentalist Faz, known from Semifer and Theatrum Mentis.

The project marks a new artistic chapter for Scarlet, who explores more modern and dark sounds with Devihated, moving between industrial metal, alternative and electronic music.

“Second Voice” opens the descent

The first step is “Second Voice”, the debut single, due out on 23 October 2026 together with an official music video. The song deals with the conflict with an oppressive inner voice that alters the perception of reality, described as a journey into the abyss of our deepest fears.

Recording, production, mix and mastering were handled by Christian Ice at Temple Of Noise Studios in Rome, a studio that has also worked with Theatres Des Vampires, Nanowar of Steel, Aborym and Prophilax.

Sonya Scarlet fronts the new project

Sonya Scarlet is the singer and frontwoman of Theatres Des Vampires, the Roman band she leads, and she is the founder of Devihated together with Faz. With this new project she steps away from her main band’s gothic metal style toward industrial, alternative and electronic territory.

A full release from Devihated is expected to follow the debut single.
