MANA DIAGRAM released their nine-track second album, “Aether Cross”, through Avalon on 30 September 2026. The physical release brings together heavy metal, melodic power metal and neoclassical metal, moving from fast riff-driven songs to dramatic mid-tempo compositions. The Tokyo trio features vocalist UYU, guitarist Mint and drummer Koki.
Nine tracks of metal
The album includes the title track and “Bullet of Fate”, as well as 救済のレクイエム (Kyūsai no Rekuiemu), translated as “Requiem of Salvation”, and シンデレラ・カタルシス (Shinderera Katarushisu), translated as “Cinderella Catharsis”. MANA DIAGRAM describe their approach as “Sacred Geometry Metal”, combining mystical imagery with low-tuned heaviness and traditional metal playing.
The name “Aether Cross” joins aether, the mythical fifth element associated with the heavens, with the cross as a symbol of intersection or spiritual connection. The idea reflects the band’s focus on geometry, mystery and points brought together through music.
UYU has led since 2023
UYU has been the band’s vocalist since its formation in 2023. She has also been associated with Hagane, Dizzymetal, Dizzyreverse and her solo project, Uyu. Her commanding melodic vocals provide the central contrast to Mint’s guitar work and Koki’s drumming on “Aether Cross”.
MANA DIAGRAM came together in Tokyo in 2023. Before the album, the band released the EP “Light of the Destiny” in 2024, followed by singles including “Re : The Road Less Traveled”, “とおりゃんせ!にっぽんぽん~ 神☆夏 ~”, “Make It Reach You” and “Bullet of Fate”. “Aether Cross” is their second full-length release and is available through Avalon.
