BLOODCRAFT RITUAL, the Czech black metal project led by musician Maania, has released its four-track debut EP, “Human Peak”. The material first appeared digitally and has recently also been issued on cassette through Corrosion Plague Records. The Prague-based project was formed in 2025 and is a solo endeavour, with Maania playing every instrument.
Four tracks, two formats
Maania programmed and recorded all the instruments on “Human Peak”, which moves between fast black metal passages and slower sections. Her vocals shift between screams, whispers and recitations, giving the EP an unusual and varied delivery. The recording uses a lo-fi home-studio aesthetic, while the riffs and arrangements build horror-themed atmospheres.
Martjern, who is also a member of INFERNAL CULT, contributes a guitar solo to the title track. The cassette edition extends the release beyond its initial digital format through Corrosion Plague Records.
Maania’s one-person ritual
Maania has been the sole member of BLOODCRAFT RITUAL since 2025, performing all instruments and vocals. She is also associated with Blood Frenzy, Hel, Infernal Cult and Sukkhu. Her work with those projects places the EP within a wider Czech extreme-metal background, while “Human Peak” presents her own one-person approach to black metal.
