Jinjer will play Rock am Ring 2027. The festival announced the Ukrainian metalcore band on 23 October 2026 as part of a second wave of 24 acts for the event at the Nürburgring in the Eifel, running from 4 to 6 June 2027. Killswitch Engage, Pendulum and Sleeping With Sirens lead the new additions alongside Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, The Amity Affliction, Holding Absence, Currents, Novelists and From Ashes to New. With them, 50 acts are now confirmed for the weekend.

Tatiana Shmayluk, the voice since 2009

Jinjer formed in Donetsk in 2008, but the line-up that counts 2009 as its official starting point took shape when Tatiana Shmayluk took over on vocals and Roman Ibramkhalilov joined on guitar. Bassist Eugene Abdukhanov and drummer Vladislav Ulasevich completed the quartet, which has stayed stable since 2016. Shmayluk’s range, moving between harsh screams and clean singing, has become the band’s most recognisable feature, most famously on the 2016 single “Pisces”, which Metal Hammer placed at No. 74 in its list of the 100 greatest metal songs of the 21st century.

Progressive, groove and unpredictable

The festival’s announcement describes Jinjer as moving between progressive metal, groove metal and metalcore, with complex rhythms, abrupt tempo changes and Shmayluk’s vocal breadth making their music demanding and unpredictable. The band released its fifth album, “Duél”, through Napalm Records in February 2025, following “Wallflowers” (2021) and “Macro” (2019). Jinjer were named Best Ukrainian Metal Act by the InshaMuzyka label in 2013 and 2016.

Nearly 90 percent sold out

Ticket demand is high. More than 80,000 weekend tickets are already sold, which is close to 90 percent of the available contingent, and only 10,000 remain. Weekend tickets currently cost 269 euros; once another 5,000 are sold, the final price stage begins at 289 euros. The organisers state that no additional contingents are planned.

A reshaped festival ground

The site itself is being reworked for 2027, based on a fan survey after this year’s edition. The Orbit Stage moves to a new location, and the layout of the grounds will be rearranged for more space, better visitor flow and clearer routes between stages. Sanitary capacity is also being expanded.

Die Toten Hosen, blink-182 and Bring Me The Horizon remain the three headliners, with Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, Evanescence, Faith No More, Lorna Shore, Parkway Drive, Poppy and Turnstile among the previously confirmed acts. The festival runs under the motto “Today. Tomorrow. Forever.”
