Satra have released the video for “Dance in the Mist”. The lyric and music video went live on YouTube on 23 October 2026 and is available alongside the song on iTunes, Spotify and Deezer through the band’s label M&O Music.
Visual production and concept
The video was directed, shot and edited by Sofia Vik, with additional footage from Joel Hietikko and graphic elements supplied by Vecteezy. It pairs the song’s lyrics with filmed material rather than a performance clip, giving viewers both the words and the imagery in one piece.
Line-up and instrumentation
The voice on “Dance in the Mist” belongs to Pilvi Tahkola, who joined the Oulu band in 2022. She fronts a line-up that also includes Janne Peltola on bass, Niko Valjus on guitars, Aleksi Ronkainen on drums and Kim Salmi on violin, an unusual addition for a symphonic metal band.
Album context and origins
Satra formed in Oulu, Finland in 2020 and have released two full-length albums so far: “Sand of Time” in 2024 and “In Tears of Her Reign” in 2025, both through M&O Music. “Dance in the Mist” comes from the latter, following the 2025 singles “Into the Ravenous Sea” and “Lauloin maailmani uneen”. The band’s lyrics deal with introspection, dreams and relationships.
