Easy Rider have released “Breaking The Chains”, the seventh single taken from their album “Maniphesto”. The Madrid power metal band issued the track as an official audio, edited by the group itself, with Dess Díaz on vocals.
Seven singles deep into “Maniphesto”
The song is the seventh cut lifted from “Maniphesto”, the album the band has been drawing singles from since 2023, when the title track and “Paralysis” came out. Two further singles, “Prey” and “Hear My Voice”, followed in 2025. Music and lyrics on “Breaking The Chains” are credited to the whole band.
Guitarist Dani Castellanos produced, mixed and mastered the track. He shares guitar duties with Javier Villanueva, while José A. Villanueva plays bass and José Roldán drums. Booking for the band runs through RK Music Talent.
Dess Díaz, on the mic since 2020
Dess Díaz sings lead for Easy Rider and has held the position since 2020, the year the current line-up came together after the Madrid group’s earlier runs. She also performs with Perversión, a Ronnie James Dio tribute act. Her voice sits at the front of a band whose lyrics deal with personal struggles and Christianity. The 2020 reunion brought back bassist José A. Villanueva, guitarist Javier Villanueva and guitarist Daniel Castellanos, all of whom had played in Easy Rider’s 1990s and 2010s incarnations.
A Madrid band since 1988
Easy Rider formed in Madrid in 1988 and have stayed active across more than three decades, with a discography that runs to 14 releases. Their earliest listed record dates from 1997. “Maniphesto” arrived in 2025, and the band have continued to pull singles from it rather than close the cycle.
