Van Canto have released “Run Again”, the third and final of three new songs marking 20 years of the Berlin a cappella metal band. The video arrived on 22 October 2026, with concept and production by Lichtschloss Filmproduktion.
The final anniversary track
The track completes a set of three new songs the band put out for its 20th year. “Run Again” follows the earlier two, and the band has asked listeners which of the three they prefer. All three are now available.
Celebrating 20 years in Aschaffenburg
The anniversary itself will be marked on stage. Van Canto play Aschaffenburg on 30 October 2026, and the band used the release to ask who plans to attend.
Dear Van Cantians, here it is! “Run Again”, the third and final of our three brand-new songs celebrating 20 years of Van Canto, is out now! We hope you’ve enjoyed all three songs, and we’re curious to hear which one is your favorite! With all three songs now released, there’s just one more thing left to do: celebrate our 20th anniversary together with you in Aschaffenburg on October 30! Who’s going to be there? Rakkatakka!

Inga Scharf and the vocal lineup
Inga Scharf is the female lead vocalist of Van Canto and has been with the band since its formation in Berlin in 2006. She shares lead vocal duties with Hagen Hirschmann, while the remaining members take the guitar and bass parts with their voices. Outside Van Canto she has worked with the project Fading Starlight. Her voice sits at the front of the band’s format, where only the drums are played on real instruments.
Van Canto formed in 2006 and released their debut album, “A Storm to Come”, the same year. “Hero” followed in 2008, then “Tribe of Force” in 2010, “Break the Silence” in 2011, “Dawn of the Brave” in 2014, “Voices of Fire” in 2016, “Trust in Rust” in 2018 and “To the Power of Eight” in 2021. The band calls its style hero metal a cappella, built on classic heavy, power and symphonic metal.
