VESSELES have released “Until They Are Dust (Reclaimed)”, a new single and video from the American symphonic black metal project, with founder Valira Nyvran taking on lead vocals for the first time in the project’s reworked material. The track previews the album “Home (Reclaimed)”, which is due on 26 March 2027.
Demons and Self-Confidence
The song returns to the project’s mythology, expanding the origins of “The Beneath”, a supernatural place where a cursed substance consumes humans and gives rise to a new generation of demons. Within that setting, the lyrics explore growing confidence and the strength that comes with a clearer understanding of oneself. The video was filmed and edited by Allgood Media Productions, and Nick Loiacono mixed and mastered the track at Fang Studios.
“Until They Are Dust (Reclaimed)” follows September’s “Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)”, which explored a birthing ritual within “The Beneath”.
Valira Nyvran Takes the Microphone
Valira Nyvran, the songwriter behind VESSELES, handles vocals, guitars, composition, orchestrations and lyrics on the new material. She is also known for her work with Among the Torrent, Arcane Existence, Legion of Grandeur, Mortal Filth and WarTroll. On “Home (Reclaimed)” she is joined by Ron Graves on bass and Nikolas Brön on drums, with Antonio Giardina contributing session piano and The Vicken Studios Orchestra providing choir chants on “Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)”.
Nine Tracks Due in March
“Home (Reclaimed)” revisits the project’s debut album “Home”, originally self-released on 16 January 2026, with Valira now in the central vocal role. Its nine tracks return to questions of identity, belonging and the difficulty of understanding what “home” means to someone who feels alien to the world around them. The album runs from the 1:32 opener “They Wither… (Reclaimed)” to the 7:08 closer “This Is Not Home (Reclaimed)”, and was produced, mixed and mastered by Nick Loiacono at Fang Studios in San Mateo, California. Mark Erskine created the artwork.
Founded in 2023, VESSELES introduced their combination of symphonic black metal and personal mythology on the 2024 debut EP “I Am a Demon” before “Home” expanded that narrative into a full-length release.
