Austrian blackened death metal band Vanthory have released an animated lyric video for “Wintermoon Covenant”, the first single taken from their upcoming EP, “Perpetual Tales of Infernal Darkness”. The band announced the video on their official YouTube channel on 15 October 2026.
First taste of the new EP
“Wintermoon Covenant” is the opening glimpse of “Perpetual Tales of Infernal Darkness”, which will follow the band’s 2025 EP “Path of the Deceased” and the 2025 single “Realm of the Lost”. All music and lyrics on the single were written by the band themselves. The track was mixed and mastered by Karl Steinpatz, the artwork was created by Hanif A., and the animated lyric video was produced by an external animation artist.
Tenebrya on guitar and vocals
Tenebrya plays lead guitar and sings in Vanthory. She has been in the band since 2023, the year the group was founded in Graz, Styria, Austria. She is part of the current line-up alongside bassist Isilthor, drummer Hellgrim and vocalist Svart, both of whom joined in 2026.
The band’s earlier releases include the singles “Lightbringer” and “Mundus Patet”, both from 2024.
