Heathen Heretic have released a new music video for the song “Executed by the Sword”. The Swiss band announced the release on their official YouTube channel on 16 October 2026.
Behind the video
The video was produced by “Moviedel Productions Italy”, with Mireille and Alexis appearing as actors. The audio side of the release was handled by Christoph Brandes at Iguana Studios, who took care of recording, producing, mixing and mastering.
Viola behind the microphone
Heathen Heretic play melodic blackened death metal and come from Zürich, where the band was formed in 2019. Viola has been the band’s vocalist since 2021, when she joined the line-up that also includes Beer on bass, Nils Oertig on drums, Mischa on lead guitar and Styx on rhythm guitar and vocals. The band’s earlier releases include the full-length albums “Whispers from the Abyss” (2025) and “The Blessing of Fire and Darkness” (2021), the EP “Heaven’s Damnation” (2023) and the 2026 single “Daemonum Pugna”.
