Withered Land have released “Judol Smutku”, the first single from the upcoming album “Piesni Vietru”. The track is the opener of the record and is now available on YouTube. The album is scheduled for release on 27 November 2026 through Immortal Frost Productions.

“Piesni Vietru” is the third album by the Belarusian project, following “The Endless Journey” from 2021 and “Hall of the Dead” from 2025. The cover artwork was created by Alexander Angolyuk.

Six tracks, all around six minutes

The album consists of six songs, each between roughly five and seven minutes long:

  1. “Judol Smutku” (06:22)
  2. “Miortvaha Son” (06:11)
  3. “Imia Na Kamieni” (05:58)
  4. “Pyl Daroh” (05:54)
  5. “Sliach Prakliatych” (05:26)
  6. “Da Zorau” (06:58)

The title and the song titles are written in Belarusian, in line with the project’s origins.

Olga Kann writes, plays and sings

Withered Land is a one-person project started in 2020 by Olga Kann, a musician from Minsk, Belarus. She sings and plays bass, keyboards, kantele and tagelharpa, and also writes the songs and lyrics and creates the artwork and booklets, with guests handling guitars and drums on the albums. Outside Withered Land she is also known from the projects Bleeding Malice, Cryo Depth, Life for Ner’zhul and Monumentum Damnati. She has said that a live line-up exists and that shows are planned.

The project plays epic and symphonic black metal with doom elements. With “Piesni Vietru” it now delivers its third full-length in five years, and the first single “Judol Smutku” gives a first impression of what is to come on 27 November 2026.
